“The fight against eating disorders is not one that must be fought alone.”

We make eating disorder treatment more accessible for Muslims.

Because eating disorders affect Muslims too:

  • Over 15% of Muslim youth in one study say they know a fellow Muslim youth struggling with an eating disorder.

  • Studies in Egypt have found that over 75% of female college students report struggling with disordered eating.

  • In an Iranian research study, nearly 20% of high school students, both male and female, struggled with disordered eating.

  • Additionally, 35% of university students in Saudi Arabia, 10% of university students in Turkey, and 23% of middle and high school students in the UAE struggle with eating disorders as shown in various studies.
