Founder/Director

Maryam is a freshman at Rice University. Her own experiences with an eating disorder as well the experiences of those that recovered with her inspired her to found this organization.

Maryam hopes to bring eating disorder treatment access to even more people, while simultaneously breaking the stereotypes regarding people of color with eating disorders and eating disorders within religious communities.

She’s a proud Muslim and Pakistani American, bringing education about eating disorders to these communities and others around her. She enjoys reading, painting, and watching kdramas!
